Business Objects Financial Consolidation (BOFC), formerly known as Magnitude was owned by French software company Cartesis who were acquired by Business Objects in 2007. Later the same year, Business Objects were themselves acquired by SAP AG and BOFC now forms part of SAP Enterprise Performance Management (EPM).

BOFC is able to support the requirements for the financial close of large scale enterprises due to its ability to maintain complex data models and support business logic for multiple GAAPs or multiple data cycles such as submission and consolidation actuals, data collection and budget reporting, forecasting, strategic planning or specific data submissions such as CAPEX.

BOFC delivers reliable data to stakeholders, leading to better informed decision-making and the ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances. It provides flexibility, allowing divisions and business units to run operations in accordance with their particular needs.

In addition to giving full process control to corporate finance, the application provides data transparency and traceability to enable timely and accurate public disclosure and compliance with corporate governance requirements.
